Our Mission

To provide First Aid training and pre-hospital care to those in marginalised groups and low socio-economic communities around Arusha, Karatu and Moshi.

Where it all began

After first traveling to Tanzania in 2014 to volunteer in a local hospital we instantly fell in love with the country and its people.  Despite having little they would welcome us into their homes with open arms.  After encountering many people in hospitals with massive infections from minor wounds that they simply couldn't keep clean due to a lack of knowledge and resources we began exploring ways to improve this situation.  Teaching first aid and supplying families, schools and community organisations with first aid kits will help reduce the risk of infection in minor wounds and reduce the burden on under-resourced local hospitals and clinics.

We began focusing on teaching first aid to those in marginalised groups and those in areas affected by high rates of poverty.  To date we have:

  • Trained over 1000 people in first aid
  • Distributed over 500 first aid kits to families
  • Supplied 25 schools, orphanages and community groups with first aid kits.
  • Donated vital medical equipment and consumables to 6 hospitals.
  • Trained 19 Bodaboda (local motorbike taxi's) in first aid and equipped them with first aid kits.

Your never to young to starting learning first aid!

Little ones like this often get involved in our first aid training sessions when we provide training to the mama's at the end of the school day.  It's great for the mama's to have someone to practice on and great for the little ones so they are not scared if they do have to go to the doctor or hospital in the future.
